Richard M. Wise, 

is a Partner of MNP llp specializing in Business Valuation. He has more than 35 years of experience performing valuations for cross-border transactions, income taxation, shareholder litigation, and damage quantification. Richard writes and lectures extensively across the United States and Canada and has presented over 200 conference papers in both countries, including those of the American Bar Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA), Institute of Business Appraisers, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). He has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed articles on Business Valuation.
Mr. Wise has contributed numerous technical chapters on valuation and litigation support which are published in authoritative textbooks in the U.S. and Canada, has been a regular columnist and technical advisor for professional journals in both countries, and has co-authored books on financial valuation.
A graduate of McGill University, Montréal, Mr. Wise served as an International Governor of ASA, President of The Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators, a member of NACVA's Executive Advisory Board and Litigation Forensic Board, and was on the Council of CPA Québec. Richard is the recipient of the 2016 Thomas R. Porter Lifetime Achievement Award from NACVA in recognition of exemplary character, leadership and professional achievements in the community. In 2011, he received NACVA's Outstanding Member Award. He is also an inductee to ASA's College of Fellows for his outstanding service to the profession.
Mr. Wise has been retained as business valuation/financial expert by Justice Canada, Canada Revenue Agency, Industry Canada, Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Competition Bureau, and Québec Financial Markets Authority. He has also been retained by the Attorney General of the Province of Ontario as their valuation expert and frequently provides expert testimony in courts across Canada and the U.S.
He has acted for clients in Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, Italy, British Virgin Islands, Turks & Caicos, India, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Brazil, Ukraine, Poland, Russia, Kazakhstan, Argentina, Qatar, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, Ivory Coast, South Africa, and Saudi Arabia.
Richard was webinar presenter for NACVA and co-lecturer at NACVA's Business Valuation Symposium in Chicago. He was speaker at NACVA's Annual Conference in Dallas, the NACVA/IBA Joint Annual Consultants' Conference in Boston, and the Canadian Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts' first International Business Valuation Conference in Canada. Richard was interviewed in CTI's Conversations with the Masters Series ( 
He served as Special Assistant to the Canadian Revenue Minister, following which he was partner-in-charge of Business Valuation at Deloitte & Touche. He subsequently founded his own practice in 1980, which merged into MNP in 2011.
Richard has served on several boards and committees of various professional societies. In 2012, he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal by the Queen, presented to him in recognition of his 35 years of leadership in the Business Valuation profession. In 1992, he was awarded the Canada 125 Commemorative Medal for his significant contribution to Canada.

Die Keynote Speaker waren: Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Wolfgang Ballwieser, Prof. Dr. Peter Bofinger und Mark L. Zyla. Die Podiumsdiskussion "Das Wichtigste in der Unternehmensbewertung ist..." mit Wolfgang Kniest, Prof. Dr. Dr. Andreas Löffler, Prof. Dr. Peter Schömig und Christoph Wollny wurde von Prof. Dr. Matthias Meitner geleitet.
